It is with great sorrow we have received the news about the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II; a time of great sadness, and particularly so given our pride in the Royal association our hospitals hold.
Her Majesty dedicated her life to public service during an historic 70-year reign and she enriched the lives of countless numbers of people at home and across the world. She was an exemplar of public service, which all of us can only aspire to.
As you may know, the country will now be in a period of mourning, and we await further details of Her Majesty’s State Funeral.
We send our heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family.
